we are a grass roots charity helping those with depression
From our Founder

Prior to her passing Mindy reached out for help. Aside from taking calls, spending time with her and encouraging her to go back to rehab there wasn't anything else we could do. Some of her friends stayed with her around the clock while she mourned. The sad fact is that ultimately we responsible for our own lives. Only Mindy could have saved herself and she didn't have the tools or warewithall to make that happen. Her only hope would have been to stay in treatment but she checked herself out and tried to face her demons alone.
I created this charity in her honor. Mindy didn't want to die, she was excited about singing again telling all of us that she was going to hit the charts again. She was in extreme pain and confusion when she died. Under the influence of drugs and alcohol I don't think she understood what she was doing when she ended her life.
I suffered many of the same atrocities as Mindy so I know firsthand how excruciatingly painful life can be.
For many of us who suffer with depression we often have an identity steeped in self hatred and shame. The pain is unbearable and many turn to drugs and alcohol to mitigate the hurt and feelings of unworthiness.

In Mindy's honor I want to help those who suffer from depression and addiction by helping to provide therapy to those who can't afford it and to help to take care of pets for those who are in rehab or the hospital for mental health treatment.
Many people don't want to go for treatment because it might mean that they will loose their beloved pet while they are away in treatment. Some treatments last from a few days to several months. For those who can not afford to have their pet boarded for an extended amount of time this can mean that they will have to abandon their pet in order to take care of themselves. Going into treatment is a vulnerable and scary thing and the last thing somebody who's suffering needs is to separate them from their pet indefinitely. Our mission is to find boarding for those who need it.

For many years the only meaning I had in my life was to take care of my cats. I wouldn't be here if not for my furry little angels. They gave me so much love and a reason to live. I will do my best to find help for those who reach out to us in order to find a way take care of their pets while they focus on recovery.
